Education is Key

When spoken lessons are all finished
The decisions will be yours to make

Each and every one of them

Will determine your ultimate fate

There will be many things you still will learn

And education will be your key

So please trust me when I tell you this

Don’t wait ‘til your 40’s to see

The degrees that you will earn

Will assist you in doing your best

Once they are learned and earned they can’t be taken away

But will help you in your success

Sports figures make big money

And entertainers put them to shame

But after injuries and blacklists

Education is the permanent game

Corporate politics can be vicious

And malpractice insurance high

So diversify your education

And any career will be yours to try

With education you must remain focused

And promise you will never stray

There are easier roads to follow

But none with sustainable pay

Please heed this lesson carefully

Your entire future is at stake

It will assist you in avoiding

A tragic or costly mistake

The years will roll by quickly

And education will pave the way

So delay small gratifications

And enjoy them later with higher pay.
